Are Referrals necessary?

  • Referrals are necessary for Medicare rebate services. For more information see the Fees page.

  • Referrals are not necessary if you are paying for the session yourself.

How do I pay?

All payments are required before the commencement of the session. Payments can be made by cash or credit card.

What can I expect in the first session?

At the start of the session, I will ask you to complete a registration form and also discuss our privacy policy. The remainder of the first session is generally about us getting to know each other and to find out what you hope to get out of coming to see me. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me questions about myself and the counselling process. During this session, I may also start introducing different counselling strategies.

How many counselling sessions will I need?

This is different for everyone. Counselling may only require one session or quite a few. If you are eligible for Medicare services, you will be able to receive up to 10 sessions in a calendar year. See the Fees page for more information.
